Accountant needed in Hilton Hotel Canada - Port Harcourt

At Hilton Hotel And Resorts Canada we want to be the world’s favorite way to buy. Our customers like that, a lot, and so we are expanding. As we grow, the need for efficient accounting practices and appropriate risk control increase according, obviously our Finance Department plays a crucial role in this effort. We are now looking for an Accountant to be part of our Canada team at our office in Montreal Canada

What will you be doing?
As an Accountant at Hilton Hotel Canada you will be responsible for the accounting and accounting processes of hilton hotel canada. This includes everything from day to day bookkeeping, closing the books with proper reconciliations to assisting our Finance internal stakeholders and support your colleagues with financial issues. You will have the great opportunity to be part of implementation of projects and other projects of improvements. You will report to head of accounting in Sweden (HQ).
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
AP, expense reports (handled in systems)
Bookkeeping, including closing of books and reporting to HQ
Tax, VAT filing, part of year end statements
Support auditors and hilton HQ finance team
Who are you?
You have a few years of experience working with accounting, preferably as a consultant or within the financial industry. You feel comfortable working with accounting - even though you are not yet an expert - and enjoy working in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. Knowledge of IFRS is seen as a plus but not a requirement. You manage Excel and have experience from working with business software (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics AX). You are organised, engaged, and a true team player who always takes great responsibility of your work. You are also service minded, prestigeless, and eager to learn.
